Kawasaki 9 Hp Manual
The John Deere RX75 riding mower used an air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke Kawasaki FC290V gasoline engine with vertical PTO shaft and electric starter. The FC290V engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design; cast-iron cylinder liner; reciprocating balancer; float type carburetor with fixed main jet; flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system.
Bore and stroke are 78.0 mm (3.07 in) and 60.0 mm (2.36 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.4:1. The Kawasaki FC290V motor produced 9.0 HP (6.7 kW;) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 18.7 Nm (1.91 kg·m; 13.8 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.
The John Deere RX75 is equipped with gear type transmission (seven forward and one reverse gear), disc brakes, and manual sector and pinion steering. This lawn mower used open operator station, 3.8 L (1.0 US gal.) fuel tank, and mid-mount 760.0 mm (30 in) mower deck with manual lift and one blade.
